CHEAP CLEANING IDEAS

CHEAP CLEANING IDEAS

White Vinegar can be used to clean mirrors, windows, mouldy walls and ceilings/anything with mould on it, rust marks on your bath and/or tiles, and kitchen work surfaces. It’s like some kind of magic cheap cleaner! I know it sounds kind of like a smelly solution to your cleaning needs, but if you open the windows the smell goes away, and your rooms smell really fresh...True!

Lemon Juice will get rid of perspiration stains from your woollens. All you have to do is sponge lemon juice and water onto the mark and hang the woolly to dry...Simple!

Eucalyptus Essential Oil is a wonderful cheap disinfectant because it is versatile and can be diluted. I clean my bathroom sink with neat oil, and I dilute a small amount of oil in hot water to clean my floorboards. It will clean and disinfect any hard floor surface, and the lingering aroma is very pleasant, plus it opens up your air passages enabling you to breath much deeper...Fantastic!

Bicarbonate of Soda is a very commonly used cleaner in the world of green people. I don’t mean Martians J, I mean people who are concerned about the environment. Mix with water and white vinegar, (yep that again), and it is a multi-purpose household cleaner. Use bi-carb on a cloth with a little water to remove stains from within cups....Super Cheap!

cheapest recipe ever

For my first article on this blog I would like to share the cheapest recipe I've ever cooked. Whether you're really broke, or you're a university or college student, or you're vegetarian, or for whatever reason you would like a healthy and cheap meal, I hope this recipe helps:)

Soup Base that Serves 4

Ingredients:-

·         1 cup Italian Soup Mix (the dried variety)

·         1 Onion sliced

·         1 stick celery (optional)

·         4 heaped teaspoons vegetable stock

Method:-

·         Soak the soup mix overnight in plenty of cold water

·         Next day drain the soup mix and put into a large saucepan with plenty of water and the rest of the ingredients

·         Bring to the boil, and then simmer for about one and a half hours or until the soup mix is completely cooked
You can add other ingredients to this soup base to make it super yummy or eat it with garlic bread (another day .. another post) Bon Apetite!
